Family Promise of Ogden

About

Family Promise of Ogden  (FPO) is an affiliate of Family Promise National, a nonprofit with more than 200 chapters that utilizes local-partnerships within the city and county to change lives. Family Promise of Ogden does not receive funding from the national organization, State or Government entities.

In 2015, as a response to the direct need of homeless families, and to develop a cost effective and community based approach to ending homelessness in Weber County, an interfaith coalition comprised of kind hearted volunteers collaborated to develop a nonsectarian plan to support homeless families and provide them with safe overnight shelter, assist them in regaining self-sufficiency and sustaining their independence. Family Promise of Ogden makes this possible with the support of organizations and partnerships that address family homelessness right in our own community. In 2016, the coalition received its 501c3 nonprofit status for Family Promise of Ogden and finally in May 2017 Family Promise of Ogden was able to house its first family.
