Seager Memorial Clinic

About

We need volunteer medical providers / physicians, dentists, RNs, medical assistants, language translators, and front desk volunteers. All volunteers are protected under Utah’s Healthcare Providers Immunity from Liability Act (Utah Code 58-13- 3).

We provide FREE medical and dental care including medications to the underserved in our community.

The Seager Memorial Clinic is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

In 1988, Dr. Floyd Seager, a local physician, saw a man collapse on the street in Ogden and went to his aid. He learned that the man was homeless and didn’t have any access to medical care. Dr. Seager had to do something, so he and his wife, Dauna, founded the clinic in partnership with the Ogden Rescue Mission on September 16, 1988.

The Seagers have since passed away, but their legacy lives on, with over 200 volunteers involved in the Seager Memorial Clinic. Top professionals in the area provide volunteer medical, dental, vision, and mental health care, and the entire Board of Directors and all officers of the clinic are volunteer positions.

We have been able to help lower our diabetic patients’ A1c levels.  We provide free prescription eyeglasses to our patients.  We provide select patients with partial dentures at no cost to them.  We provide free medications and immunizations to our patients.

Many of the patients seen at the Seager Memorial Clinic are homeless, live in shelters, or in low-cost housing. They do not have any other access to healthcare. By managing their acute and chronic conditions, they avoid compounding their health issues.
